# High level overview

Scenario parameters let you customize a Scenario to your institution's environment and to experiment with different assumptions about the future.

Scenario parameters are specific to each scenario. That is, if you change scenario parameters in "Scenario A", those parameters will now be different from those in "Scenario B".&#x20;

The exception is if you [copy a scenario](/how-to-guides/copy-a-scenario.md). A copied scenario copies all of the scenario parameter settings.&#x20;
