# Set currency

Currently we support UK pounds sterling (GBP) and US dollars (USD).

To change your currency, go to the Package page (you can click its name in the top left corner of your screen), then view the Setup tab, and finally select the "Currency" menu option. Select the currency you want to use.

It's important to note that changing currency doesn't *convert* from one currency to another. If you select a new currency, don't forget to update costs you've already entered, replacing them with ones denominated in your new currency.

Specifically, you'll need to edit your package [Big Deal Cost](/how-to-guides/set-big-deal-costs.md) and scenario [ILL Transaction Cost parameter](/reference/scenarios/scenario-parameters.md#h_bb1971fa6a-1). You'll also need to [replace your custom pricelist](/how-to-guides/upload-title-prices.md) if you've already loaded one that had prices in your old currency.

We do plan to support other currencies, based on demand. If you've got a currency you'd like to see supported, please let us know!

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.unsub.org/how-to-guides/set-currency.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
